I've been having trouble with my computer for several months. After I have opened several web site, and I close one of them, the rest of them freeze up and I have to open Task Manager to end the programs so I can start over again.Just now when I opened task manager, I spotted something running at 30% and am wondering what it is and if it is something that shouldn't be on my computer. It's called 'igfxEM Module'Can someone tell me if I can safely end this task and/or uninstall it all together? Thanks! I'm pretty sure that igfx is associated with the Intel graphic device in your computer. What's the brand name and model name and model number of your computer?-Download and save the (SysInfo.exe) to the desktop. After it's been downloaded and saved, double-click it to run it.Information about your computer will appear.Return here to your thread, then copy-and-paste the ENTIRE text here. I've been reading the Troubleshooting section on my computer and I don't understand it.I don't know the difference between a process, an application, and software.I checked the programs list and the only security I have is Charter.I don't see anything else there that shouldn't be there. When I close out IE from task manager, that unlocks/unfreezes the computer. When I look at details in task manager, there are three iexplorer.exe that say 'suspended' and four others that say 'running.' Only one of them is using cpu. There are two others that say 'suspended': PhotosApp.exe and WWAHost.exe.Everything else is 'running' at 0, except that igfxEM Module which is at 30%.I'll run a virus scan (but it does it automatically) anyway. And check of an IE update.I don't know what else to do.
The igfx is not your Nvidia faulting. And there are basic drivers installed even if we installed only from a Microsoft Windows DVD.I wonder if we need to repeat how to setup a Windows PC? Here's the quick version.1.
Update all firmware in BIOS, HDD, Video card, SSD and other things.2. Set all BIOS to defaults with as few changes as needed to get going.3. Install Windows.4.
What Is Igfxcuiservice Module Located
Install motherboard chipset driver then audio, video, LAN, WiFi in that order.5. Let Windows do its updates until done.6. Add the second GPU.
Igfxcuiservice Logoff
Install those drivers and apps.Repeat step 5.Should be fine at that point. I followed your previous steps exactly but I am still getting the same error.Example:Faulting application name: TESV.exe, version: 1.9.32.0, time stamp: 0x51437ce5Faulting module name: TESV.exe, version: 1.9.32.0, time stamp: 0x51437ce5Exception code: 0xc0000005Fault offset: 0x00b52e8aFaulting process id: 0x13f0Faulting application start time: 0x01d0dd820adfa16dFaulting application path: C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonSkyrimTESV.exeFaulting module path: C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonSkyrimTESV.exeReport Id: 4985a0b2-4975-11e5-8f4a-4cbb58b5c356Any other ideas?
That's correct. I mentioned in the original post that I am getting this error in a number of 64 bit applications, but not all.I also mentioned that I have building machines for a while but wasn't explicit that this is a new build. That is the case here; all parts in question are brand new.I could totally understand the conditions causing certain games to fail but this seems more of a systemic issue than a few one offs.As to the intel graphics driver, I am using what came with the mobo install disc. I've since updated that as well. I've also updated the BIOS to 1.8 (1.7 came on the install disc).
